Momtahina Tahmida earned her B.S. in Neurobiology in June 2022 at UC San Diego. She has a background in laboratory work with Shih lab at USC, genetics research in Hamilton Lab at UCSD, and Peer Mentor/Resource Counselor experience with TRiO SSSP at UCSD. Growing up as an immigrant in a disadvantaged minority community in LA, she helps others like her move forward by being a translator, a guide, and an advocate. Outside of lab, she loves to paint, to listen to true crime podcasts, and to read.
