CFAR Core facilities provide access to equipment and services that are impractical or impossible to maintain in individual laboratories.

The San Diego Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) comprises nine service areas or cores. Each core serves a unique purpose within the Center and within the HIV/AIDS research community.

Five of our cores offer services to HIV researchers and other clinicians and scientists at competitive pricing, and some services are offered at no charge.

Finally, our Administrative Core does all the behind-the-scenes work to plan seminars, manage grants, and assist the other Cores.
