Membership

The San Diego Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) includes four member institutions:

• San Diego State University
• Scripps Research
• The La Jolla Institute for Immunology
• University of California San Diego (includes the San Diego Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and the Veterans Medical Research Foundation)

SD CFAR offers membership to faculty, trainees, and community members and partners. We are committed to meaningful partnerships with all individuals working toward the shared goals of advancing the field of HIV research and supporting our community.

If you would like to join SD CFAR, please fill out a short membership form online. It's that easy! There are no dues or fees for San Diego CFAR membership.

Full Membership

Full Membership in the SD CFAR includes access to several of our funding opportunities plus discounted prices on numerous Core Services as well as announcements of all of our upcoming seminars and programs. You are eligible for Full Membership in the San Diego CFAR if you:

• are on faculty at or above the Assistant Professor level or equivalent at one of the SD CFAR member institutions listed above 
• and either conduct peer-reviewed research or  provide patient care and teaching in the area of HIV

Trainee Membership

Trainee Membership in the SD CFAR includes access to several of our funding opportunities plus discounted prices on numerous Core Services as well as announcements of all of our upcoming seminars and programs. You are eligible for Trainee Membership in the San Diego CFAR if you:

• are a student or trainee at one of the SD CFAR member institutions
• and either conduct peer-reviewed research or provide patient care and teaching in the area of HIV

Community Membership

Community Membership is open to all community members and partners who would like to receive information about our seminars and events. You will receive all announcements of our upcoming programs and seminars, most of which are open to the public.
