Research Day


The 2018 Annual Research Day will be held on Thursday, December 6 at the Medical Education & Telemedicine Building on the UC San Diego campus.

Keynote Speaker: Sunil Suhas Solomon MBBS, PhD, MPH, is Associate Professor in Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Solomon’s research focuses on the epidemiology, clinical management, and access to HIV and HCV care among vulnerable Indian populations.

New in 2018: Emerging Investigator Prize!

The best abstract by an emerging investigator will be scheduled for a 30-minute talk and the author will receive a $200 gift certificate to the UC San Diego Bookstore!

Due Date: Monday, September 10, 2018 4:00pm

Eligibility: Investigators who focus on HIV/AIDS clinical, public health, or laboratory research are invited to submit abstracts to the 2018 Annual CFAR Research Day. Preference will be given to emerging investigators and to those whose research has been supported by San Diego CFAR Core services or grant funding. Grant funding includes Developmental grants, International Pilot grants, Administrative Supplements, or Next-Generation grants.

Restrictions: Abstracts will not be accepted for work that has been published. We will consider abstracts for work that has been presented but not yet published. When submitting your abstract, please indicate in your email whether and where your research was previously presented.
