Pinyi Du earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Northeast Normal University, China. She has been with UC San Diego since April 1998 working on HIV research. She also works as a senior lab technician performing ddPCR & qPCR assays, which are core services provided to customers on and off the UCSD campus. She currently works several projects for Drs. Sara Gianella Weibel and David Looney.
