Submit your completed application by email per the due dates below.

Topics

You are welcome to propose a research project on virtually any aspect of HIV prevention, risk, transmission, or treatment. Observational studies are welcome, but any studies involving interventions or clinical trials are prohibited. 

Optional

Email a one-page letter of intent summarizing your project at least one month before the application due date. Please let us know if you already have an SD CFAR Collaborator or if you would like us to help you find one. Feel free to ask any questions. We will review your letter, respond to your questions, and notify you if we have any concerns about your proposed research.

Due Date

Applications are usually due by 5:00 pm Pacific Time on April 1. If the due date falls on a weekend, applications will be due the next business day. The next application due date is 5:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2024.
