Martina was born and grew up in Vicenza, Italy, a small town close to Venice. She earned her JD degree and became a member of the Italian Bar Association. She worked as a lawyer in Italy, and moved to San Diego in 2007. Recently, she joined the Translational Virology Core team as a research compliance analyst. She has two daughters and in her spare time she loves cooking, reading, rowing, hiking, and enjoying time with family and friends.
