Alec Guerra is an undergraduate Lab Assistant volunteer for Sara Gianella’s lab and is a member of the CADRE program. Currently, he is a second-year Human Biology major at Mesa College, with plans to transfer to UCSD in Fall 2025. His hands-on experience includes assisting the athletic trainer at Eastlake High School, where he provided care for injured athletes. He is eager to delve into infectious disease research and gain knowledge from experienced lab technicians. His ultimate goal is to attend medical school and pursue a career as a Radiologist. Additionally, he is a highly ranked amateur golfer, competing in professional tournaments across California and Mexico.
