Resources and Mentoring

Core Services

Whether you are applying for a CFAR Developmental grant or have received your notice of award, the entire Center is here to help you. Our cores can help you design your study, collect and process specimens, and even help you analyze the results.

Developmental grant recipients usually receive SD CFAR core services at a reduced cost, and some of our services are offered at no charge!

Onboarding meetings

Starting with the June 2021 cycle, the Developmental and Administrative Cores will host onboarding meetings for all new Developmental grant recipients. During these meetings grant recipients will learn about regulatory compliance fund management, and NIH reporting. Attendance is mandatory for grant recipients and optional for their mentors.

San DIego CFAR Core Directors are available to serve as mentors for junior investigators. For assistance in identifying a mentor, please contact any of the following:

If you have any questions about working with one or more of our cores for your Developmental grant, please contact the cores directly, or the SD CFAR Administrative Core.
