This Community Health Core brings together academic researchers, community-based organizations, the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, and people affected by and living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) to address HIV care and treatment in the San Diego region. The goals of the SD CFAR Community Health Core is to increase access to and retention in HIV care within San Diego County, increase research opportunities through collaborative partnerships, and to develop strategies to increase and retain community members into HIV research studies.
The Community Health Core Community Advisory Board is a body convened to foster collaborations in the community, provide policy and procedural guidance by working with members of the community, and to disseminate multiple services for the community of San Diego.
