The Clinical Investigation Core has access to the clinical, laboratory, patient reported and administrative variables collected through two longitudinal databases:
The Owen Clinic electronic medical record system, which contains information on more than 5000 patients.
The CFAR Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) database, which contains information on approximately 30,000 patients at multiple sites.
In addition, survival outcomes are routinely ascertained through the National Death Index (NDI) and Social Security Death Index (SSDI) searches. Patient reported outcomes (PROs) includes measures of: symptoms, medication adherence, risk behaviors, depression, quality of life (Euroqol 5-D), substance and alcohol use, and body morphology changes.
Investigators conducting IRB-approved research may request identifier-deleted, special-purpose datasets in a variety of formats including SAS, STATA, SPSS, and other common statistical and database structures.
