Data Collection and Management

The Clinical Investigation Core offers data collection on patients participating in research studies at the UC San Diego AntiViral Research Center (AVRC). The data will be recorded on a case report form (CRF), verified via the AVRC's quality control program, then forwarded to the investigator.

For studies requiring intensive data collection and management, the Core's statistical unit can assist in the design of data entry forms. Resources permitting, a database can be created to facilitate electronic transfer of data to the investigator.

We can also provide safety monitoring for randomized clinical trials and a Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB).
