The AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs) are funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau, Part F of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. The AETCs consist of HIV experts who provide continuing education, clinical consultation, mentoring, capacity building, and technical assistance to health care providers, teams, and systems across the United States and its territories.
The Pacific AETC (PAETC) is one of 8 regional AETCs with offices at the University of Arizona, University of California (Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco), University of Hawai’i, and University of Nevada. UC San Diego Health, Owen Clinic houses the San Diego-Imperial PAETC and serves the counties of San Diego and Imperial.
