In 2008, the National Cancer Institute issued the first annual RFA for collaborative activities between CFARs and Comprehensive Cancer Centers to address the increasingly recognized problem of both AIDS-defining and non-AIDS-defining malignancies in HIV infected patients. These RFAs required involvement of co-investigators from both the CFAR and the Moores Cancer Center.
The HIV-related Malignancies Scientific Working Group has been in operation since 2009. The group holds quarterly meetings at which investigators present research updates.
All are invited to attend meetings of the HIV-related Malignancies Scientific Working Group. We especially welcome input from junior investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and those who may be new to HIV-malignancy research.
The next meeting of this group will be scheduled in early 2015.
We welcome your suggestions for improving the HIV-related Malignancies Scientific Working Group.
