Aaron Christensen-Quick

Aaron Christensen-Quick is a post-doctoral fellow with the Translational Virology Core

Aaron-picAaron Christensen-Quick, PhD worked at the Institute of Human Virology while earning his Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Maryland - Baltimore. Eager to escape the east coast, he and his partner hit the road for San Diego within two days of completing his doctorate!

Aaron's postdoctoral fellowship aims to characterize long-term changes in immunity among HIV-infected people who have other age-independent risk factors for immuno-senesence. He also uses next-generation sequencing to characterize the latent HIV reservoir in a cohort of virally suppressed individuals who receive vaccines.

Outside of the lab, Aaron enjoys hiking, having brunch with friends, camping, playing piano, and relaxing at the beach.
