Translational Virology

Translational Virology is the new name for the Viral Pathogenesis Core. This new name better reflects our commitment to translational research and service to the basic scientists and clinicians who rely on our equipment and expertise.

The Translational Virology Core facilitates the acquisition, processing and cryostorage of clinical specimens for clinical trial participants of UC San Diego CFAR-affiliated studies. The Core also performs a variety of basic science and clinical assays that are essential for clinical, translational, and basic science research for investigators within UCSD as well as outside researchers.
