International Core

If you conduct international HIV/AIDS research—or would like to do so—the CFAR International Core is here to help. We offer mentorship, administrative and technical assistance, three funding opportunities, an FAQ page about international HIV/AIDS research, and an annual symposium showcasing CFAR-funded international studies.

Our services are wholly integrated with other UC San Diego CFAR cores. If you are applying for one of our grants, we encourage you to contact the directors of the other CFAR cores to see how they can further your research goals. Many of our core directors have done international studies themselves and are well-versed in managing clinical trials and processing specimens overseas. And if you receive a CFAR Developmental grant that involves foreign research, our administrative staff will help you obtain the required national and international approvals.
